Alison Croggon is an award winning writer who lives in Melbourne. Her novels include the The Books of Pellinor quintet, published worldwide to critical and popular acclaim, The River and the Book and Black Spring. She has published several books of poetry, including her recent New and Selected Poems 1991-2017, and had her theatre and opera texts performed across Australia. As a performance critic she was 2009 Geraldine Pascall Critic of Year and is co-founder of witnessperformance.com, a new critical website for the performing arts.
