Calvin Fung

Calvin is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing. His thesis includes a creative component in the form of a Gothic novel set in Hong Kong and a scholarly component examining the way in which the cultural specificity of Hong Kong interacts with the Gothic genre to extend the postcolonial Gothic and Asian Gothic spectra. He was the recipient of the highest-placed Monash entry in the 2016 Monash Prize for Creative Writing. His research interests include interdisciplinary narratology, Gothic literary studies and postcolonial studies.
