Omar Sakr is an Arab Australian poet. His poetry has been published in English, Arabic, and Spanish, in numerous journals and anthologies including: Prairie Schooner, Griffith Review, Wildness, Overland, Meanjin, Island, Cordite Poetry Review, Contemporary Australian Poetry, and Circulo de Poesía. His debut collection, These Wild Houses, was shortlisted for the Judith Wright Calanthe Award and the Kenneth Slessor Prize.
