Saf Ovacik

Saf Ovacik is a Melbourne-based writer, director and performer of screen and theatre, and a graduate of The University of Melbourne’s Graduate Certificate in Arts – Creative Writing. During her time at university, Saf developed an interest in writing dark, absurdist comedies that explore beliefs, death and the unknown. Her work is influenced by her Turkish-Muslim upbringing.

In 2018, Saf joined the West Writers Group, a 2 year professional development program offered by The Footscray Community Arts Centre.
