Melissa Lucashenko is a Bundjalung novelist, essayist and poet who lives between Brisbane and Ocean Shores. Her most recent novel, Mullumbimby, won the QLd Literary Prize, the Victorian Premier’s Award for Indigenous Writing, and was longlisted for the Miles Franklin and Stella Awards. Melissa is a Walkley Award winner for non-fiction and a founding member of Sisters Inside prisoner rights organisation.
