Natalie Thomas holds a Degree in Sculpture from the VCA (1999). She maintains a diverse independent practice focusing on media, feminism and inequality. She achieved significant national recognition in nat&ali (1999-2005) with works were shown in Primavera 2003, MCA, New 2004, the NGV and not only but also (2005) IMA, Brisbane.
In collaboration with Concettina Inserra, she was awarded the 2008 William and Winfred Bowness Prize for Photography.
Her blog nattysolo.com is a recent and ongoing performance based project with an online outcome. The arts blog considers the social side of contemporary art within its coverage of art openings and public events.
